Personally, I believe from my own relationship with God that as a believer we are already extremely wealthy.

Rom 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

These things are discerned by the spirit. As someone who has (by Faith) all things that belong to our Father by request…

James 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Luke 15:31 (Prodigal Son’s Brother) And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

….we simply access all of these things by faith. The interesting part of that is whatever we access, albeit finances, material objects, or spiritual needs for our soul, these things only are obtained when we ask and use them “according to His will”. God’s will is His Kingdom….

1John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

He wants us to do His work by ministering to the poor, and cast down, and winning the lost….

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

When we’re self centered and unwise with finances, seeking out only things for our consumption rather than being prudent and faithful, we’re definately on the wrong track.

As a believer you are already wealthy, people just fail to believe that is true. Prosperity is there, as long as unbelief doesn’t reason it away.

Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Lastly, many many times I myself have made a errors in regards to receiving request from God.
I think one of the biggest is that when I don’t see what I’ve asked for within a certain amount of time, then it’s been typical that I’ve felt like God said no. One key issue I think many, including myself, have had some trouble with is the fact that God doesn’t feel that sense of panic when things aren’t working out within a certain time frame. So many patriarchs waiting very long amounts of time to see what God said he would fulfill. I do believe patience is Key to obtaining anything from God.

I do believe we all need a relationship with God that we know how to hear from Him as well. Sometimes what we’re asking for isn’t exactly according to His will even though we think it may be. In those cases, it’s important to hear from Him so that we can understand this too.

    My 2 Cents

There are some very helpful points made here.

“as believers we are already wealthy.”

“these things only are obtained when we ask and use them “according to His will”. God’s will is His Kingdom….”

“When we’re self centered and unwise with finances, seeking out only things for our consumption rather than being prudent and faithful, we’re definately on the wrong track.”

“I do believe we all need a relationship with God that we know how to hear from Him as well. Sometimes what we’re asking for isn’t exactly according to His will even though we think it may be. In those cases, it’s important to hear from Him so that we can understand this too.”

This is so true. The problem with finding a formula in the Scripture to apply to our need or problem is that God wants us to come to Him in relationship.

Thanks for adding these important exhortations!
